Job description

Foreign Trade Zone Coordinator: Become the Newest Member of the VF Corporation
As part of the Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) Team, you will support the management and oversight of VF's Foreign Trade Zone operations to ensure full compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations and FTZ requirements. You will work closely with Distribution Centers, Customs Compliance, Logistics, Finance, Customs Brokers, and external stakeholders to ensure inventory transactions, customs filings, and FTZ processes are accurate, timely, and compliant. You will have exposure to all VF portfolio brands while helping drive operational excellence, compliance, inventory accuracy, and continuous improvement across VF's FTZ network.
How You Will Make a Difference:
Prepare and file daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual FTZ reports, customs filings, and regulatory submissions. Operate and maintain the FTZ Inventory Control and Recordkeeping System (ICRS) and associated interfaces. Process and monitor FTZ admissions, withdrawals, inventory transactions, in-bond shipments, Permit-to-Transfer (PTT) transactions, and weekly entry filings. Track inbound shipments and prepare, monitor, and reconcile e214, IT, PTT, CF3461, CF7501, CF349, and other FTZ-related transactions. Coordinate with CBP, FTZ Grantees, customs brokers, carriers, and internal stakeholders. Monitor ACE responses and resolve rejected filings, system exceptions, and processing errors. Perform inventory reconciliation activities and investigate shortages, overages, and discrepancies. Support Annual Reconciliation Reports, FTZ Board reporting, Annual Internal Reviews, and audit readiness activities. Conduct compliance audits and maintain CBP-required records and documentation. Identify process improvement opportunities and support system upgrades, testing, and automation initiatives. Monitor system interfaces and data integrity between FTZ software, SAP, warehouse systems, and customs platforms. Support FTZ activation, deactivation, expansion, and site modification projects. Maintain communication with distribution centers regarding FTZ security, compliance, inventory controls, and operational requirements. Demonstrate strong problem-solving capabilities and implement corrective actions to resolve operational or compliance issues. Support initiatives that maximize FTZ benefits while reducing compliance risk.
Skills for Success:
Years of Related Professional Experience: 3-5 years
Educational/ Position Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business / Supply Chain, Logistics or related field and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the FTZ, import operations, or customs compliance function field or an equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • This position entails responsibility for dealing directly with US Customs and Border Protection and its officers and inspectors on a regular basis.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be self-motivated and be capable of working as part of a team or alone.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
  • Experience with SAP or other enterprise systems desired
  • Ability to work in a fast paced yet casual environment
  • Ability to enhance and implement 'best practices' with a mindset toward continuous improvement

Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:
  • Federal background and fingerprinting required.
  • Travel by air and overnight, as required 5% amount of time.
  • Lifting and/or bending 25 lbs of weight.

Hiring Range:
$58,752.00 USD - $73,440.00 USD annually
Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
