Job description

Basic Function

HF Sinclair is looking for Manager, Enviornmental Air & ESG in the following locations Dallas,TX, or Salt Lake City,UT to oversees and assists site operation environmental teams with air and environment, social & governance (ESG) compliance. Manages a small corporate team that conducts moderately complex environmental assignments and duties for the assigned department, focusing primarily on public reporting and management systems.

Job Duties
  • Monitors changes in laws and regulations regarding air and ESG compliance and influence where and when appropriate
  • Manages corporate ESG compliance program including utilization of new tools and technology, stakeholder management, assurance, governance and reporting
  • Oversees internal corporate environmental training program
  • Accurate and timely submission of public ESG (i.e. Sustainability) Reports
  • Communicates with regulators and others, Such as politicians, legislators and governor's office and News media as required
  • Acts as the corporate air & ESG compliance subject matter expert (SME) and technical advisor
  • May manage outside consultants and contractors

Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.

Experience
A minimum of 8 years of related experience is required.  
Education Level
A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field is required. 
Required Skills

Leads and direct the work of others - typically Supervisors and individual contributors. Proficient with emerging technologies as well as existing programs (excel, Power BI, etc.). Advanced knowledge of laws, pronouncements and regulations pertaining to environmental permitting, compliance and operations. Excellent planning, interpersonal, organizational, leadership, public presentation, analytical, ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication. Ability to provide analyses of proposed and final regulations that impact operations and/or compliance status. Capacity to be strategic and visionary with complex data and metrics. Advanced reading and writing skills, with the ability to perform complex mathematical calculations.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility
Responsible for the supervision of approximately three employees.
Work Conditions
Office based with up to 20% travel by land and air required. Petroleum refinery, warehouse/plant environment, out-of-doors environment, and driver based environment including but not limited to chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, and rotating equipment. Subject to all weather varying road conditions.

Job conditions require standing, walking, sitting, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, reaching or grasping, lifting and/or carrying up to 25lbs, pushing and/or pulling up to 25lbs, climbing up to 10ft, ability to operate and drive all assigned company vehicles at company standard insurance rates is essential, valid State drivers license and proof of insurance required, and wearing personal protective equipment (beards not permitted).
