Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the execution of high-impact,

cross-functional engineering initiatives. This role is responsible for managing

engineering, product development, stockroom, and assembly teams while driving

projects from concept through production. The ideal candidate will have

extensive experience developing industrial laser equipment and a proven

background working within the defense industry, including products or systems

developed for military, government, or defense contractors. This position

reports directly to the Executive Vice President of Global Operations &

Strategy.


Key Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end execution of complex technical products from concept through production.

• Manage engineering, assembly, product, stockroom, and cross-functional teams.

• Lead development of products that meet military and government customer requirements.

• Collaborate with defense customers, government agencies, and prime contractors.

• Ensure engineering designs and manufacturing processes meet defense industry quality and documentation standards.

• Oversee facility layout, equipment planning, BOMs, drawing packages, and manufacturing documentation.

• Support system architecture, technical feasibility, and continuous process improvement.

• Implement and manage quality control and inspection processes.


Required Qualifications

• 5+ years managing engineering and manufacturing teams.

• 3+ years leading complex technical product development programs.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.

• Required: Defense industry experience supporting military, aerospace, or government customers.

• Experience with industrial laser systems, optics, robotics, electronics, and automation.

• Experience with digital/analog electronics, laser controls, PC-based controls, and servo systems.

• Experience with Visual Basic, C, and/or C++.

• SolidWorks proficiency.

• ERP/MRP manufacturing systems experience.

• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.


Defense industry experience is required.


This is a full-time, on-site position in Lake Mary, Florida.
