Job description

Artist Trust is accepting submissions for its annual call for art in celebration of the organization’s 40th Anniversary Benefit Art Auction, taking place on Saturday, March 14, 2026. Artists who donate work for the auction will receive a 50% commission on all sales, a complimentary ticket to the event, and a one-year Artist Trust membership.

Eligible Locations

Global

Open to visual and jewelry artists, who may submit up to three works for consideration.

A total of 60–70 works will be selected for the 2026 Benefit Art Auction, with the jury choosing one piece per artist if selected.

Works will be juried based on:

  • Quality and originality
  • Audience appeal and sales potential
  • Size and weight (2D work limited to 48” x 48”; weight restrictions may apply depending on media and installation feasibility)
  • Retail value (preferred range: $200–$3,000; bidding starts at 50% of retail value)

Artists may submit works outside these parameters, with exceptions considered case by case.

2D works must be framed, when appropriate, or include proper hanging hardware. Artists are encouraged to factor framing costs into the retail value.

Accepted works must be delivered to the Artist Trust office in Capitol Hill, Seattle in February 2026. Artists who ship work are responsible for shipping costs.

The 2026 Benefit Art Auction jury includes Avery Barnes (Founder and Director of TASWIRA), Cathy Sarkowsky (Artist and Founder of Vashon Artist Residency), and Kris Lewis (John S. Behnke Director of The Henry Art Gallery).
