The Summit Area YMCA is seeking an experienced and energetic Zumba Instructor to lead fun, high-energy group fitness classes that inspire movement, confidence, and connection. The Instructor creates a safe, welcoming, and motivating environment that supports member wellness and aligns with YMCA policies and standards.


This is a part-time position with an immediate opening on Sundays at 10:30am at the Summit YMCA, with opportunities for additional classes as scheduling needs evolve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and lead safe, engaging, and effective Zumba classes
  • Deliver authentic Zumba choreography and programming
  • Welcome participants and review safety reminders before each class

  • Guide participants through proper warm-up and cool-down segments
  • Use music and pacing appropriate to the class format
  • Begin and end classes on time
  • Communicate planned absences and coordinate substitutions in advance
  • Report equipment or facility concerns promptly
  • Follow all YMCA fitness policies and procedures
  • Attend required meetings and trainings as scheduled


Salary & Benefits:

Compensation range for this role is $28.00 - 45.00/hour, based on education & experience. This Part Time position maybe scheduled to work up to 25 hours per week. Current available shift is at the Summit YMCA on Sundays at 10:30am.
