We're looking for a licensed Zumba Gold instructor to lead classes for older adults and participants with limited mobility. Zumba Gold brings the fun and energy of Zumba at a pace and intensity that works for every body — and we need someone who loves sharing that with our community.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead group exercise classes incorporating warm-ups, core activity, and cool-downs
  • Set up equipment before class and store it securely afterward
  • Create a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere for members of all fitness levels
  • Track class attendance and note new or absent participants
  • Maintain safety in all classes following YMCA and national certification guidelines
  • Keep up with fitness trends and continuing education requirements
  • Communicate any safety concerns, equipment issues, or incidents to management promptly
  • Use provided microphone equipment during class

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification
  • One or more of the following qualifications:
    • National group fitness certification: ACE, AFAA, NCSM, or equivalent
    • Specialty format training: Zumba Gold
