About the Role

Associated Recreation Council (ARC), in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Zumba Gold Instructor to lead fitness programming for older adults. Zumba Gold is a lowerimpact, easytofollow version of Zumba designed to meet the needs of active seniors, beginners, and individuals seeking a modified fitness experience.

These opportunities are for onsite, inperson instruction only.

This is a seasonal, parttime position ideal for an instructor who is passionate about movement, community wellness, and creating an inclusive, supportive class environment.

Instructor Zumba Gold duties and responsibilities include:

  • Lead Zumba Gold classes tailored to senior adults, focusing on safe, lowimpact movement.

  • Develop class sequences that promote cardiovascular health, balance, mobility, and fun.

  • Create a welcoming, encouraging environment for participants of varying fitness levels.

  • Ensure participant safety by monitoring movement, offering modifications, and maintaining awareness of individual needs.

  • Manage class setup and cleanup.

  • Maintain attendance records and complete required administrative documentation.


Instructor Zumba Gold requirements include:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.

  • Experience teaching group fitness, dance, or Zumbastyle classes.

  • Zumba Gold certification or willingness to obtain it.

  • Experience working with older adults preferred.
