We are a professional and agile organization committed to delivering high-quality academic and therapeutic programming that supports meaningful learning outcomes.
ExcelPrep offers two distinct programs designed to meet the needs of diverse learners ages 3-13:
  • PreK-8 Academic Program
    • Grounded in Direct Instruction and Precision Teaching
    • Focus on core academic skills-reading, writing, and mathematics
    • Explicit, systematic teaching methods emphasizing mastery, fluency, and generalization
    • Designed for students with learning disabilities and neurodiverse profiles who benefit from structured, data-driven instruction

  • Clinical ABA Program (Ages 3-13)
    • Cognition-linguistically based program

The Role: Occupational Therapist (OT)
We're seeking a compassionate, collaborative Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality OT services in a school-based environment. You will work alongside ABA therapists, teachers, and program leaders to support sensory-mmotor development and functional skills that enable meaningful learning.
Key focus areas:
  • Deliver individualized OT services to neurodiverse children within ExcelPrep programs

  • Assess, plan, implement, and monitor OT interventions aligned with direct instruction and ABA goals

  • Support sensory integration, executive function, fine/gross motor skills, self-care, and participation in school activities

  • Collaborate with families, educators, and ABA staff; participate in progress reporting and team meetings

  • Document progress using data-driven methods; contribute to IEP/annual goals and measurable outcomes

  • Provide training and coaching to staff on sensory strategies and adaptive materials

Responsibilities
  • Conduct OT evaluations and ongoing assessments; develop and implement individualized OT plans

  • Provide direct therapy and/or group sessions; adapt activities for sensory needs and motor planning

  • Align OT goals with ExcelPrep's Direct Instruction, Precision Teaching, and ABA goals

  • Track progress with data collection; adjust interventions based on data

  • Communicate with families about goals, progress, and home strategies

  • Collaborate with program staff to design accessible learning environments and materials

  • Maintain documentation in compliance with regulatory and school policies

  • Participate in team planning, IEP/IFSP processes (as applicable), and professional development

Qualifications
  • Valid Texas OT license and current NBCOT certification (or eligibility)

  • Minimum 2 years of pediatric OT experience; experience with neurodiverse populations and sensory processing approaches preferred

  • Knowledge of motor development, sensory integration, and activity analysis

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to work with families, teachers, and ABA staff

  • Familiarity with a data-driven, structured instructional framework is a plus

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) or experience serving Spanish-speaking families is a plus

  • Commitment to ExcelPrep's mission and a passion for supporting meaningful learning outcomes
