Description

The Carpenter and Installer supports Apex projects in conjunction with other team members to complete ground and aerial maintenance, installation, and construction tasks, executing all assigned work in a competent and professional manner.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Work with other construction team members to complete aerial maintenance, installation, and construction tasks for existing and new locations which include, but are not limited to: Replace high ropes elements, install or replace zip lines, construct aerial wooden platforms, decks, stairs, walkways and tree houses, build ground-based zip line arrival structures, and construct and perform maintenance on cabin structures.
  2. Perform work at height and on rope, which includes ascending, descending, and work positioning both in trees in on poles.
  3. Conduct wire rope maintenance and tasks as necessary to align with operational standards.
  4. Execute general construction maintenance to maintain facilities and course upkeep.
  5. Maintain inventory and care of all tools, supplies, and maintenance materials.
  6. Manages own and team members' safety at all times, adhering to all guidelines and SOPs.
  7. Maintain and stay up to date on all industry standards, safety protocols, and best practices.
  8. Learn and operate mechanized equipment in a safe manner, including power tools and heavy equipment.
  9. Be a brand ambassador for Go Ape and perform all job duties in accordance with the mission and values of the organization.
  10. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  1. At least four (4) years of carpentry experience such as residential framing, finish work, roofing, deck/stair construction, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  2. Prior experience with hand and power tools
  3. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, etc.)

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Possess CPR and First Aid Certification
  2. Possess ACCT Inspector Certification
  3. Prior experience working in an outdoor setting
  4. Ability to lift at least 75 pounds

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS

  1. At least 18 years or older
  2. Ability to successfully complete Apex Aerial Works Rope Access Training
  3. Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification
  4. Ability to obtain ACCT Inspector Certification
  5. Possess a Valid Driver's License
  6. Ability to travel extensively, up to 4-6 weeks at a time
