Assistant Construction Project Manager (Field-Based electrical)
United Global Technologies (UGT) – Supporting a Major Industrial Client

United Global Technologies is seeking a highly organized and field-driven Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support a major industrial CLIENT’s project execution team.

This role serves as the on-site extension of the CLIENT’s Project Managers — acting as the “eyes and ears” in the field to ensure equipment logistics, schedules, and daily operations remain aligned with overall project objectives.

This position is heavily involved in the electrical and mechanical details of major strategic project order and focuses on Heavy Commercial Construction, Data Center, Utility, and Industrial Projects.

Will provide direction and coordination for power/electrical equipment for the building of data centers, or other new facilities.

This is a high-visibility position ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced industrial or construction environments and is looking to grow into a senior Project Management role.

Key Responsibilities

On-Site Project Representation

  • Serve as the primary field representative supporting CLIENT Project Managers
  • Provide real-time updates, detailed site reports, and progress validation
  • Proactively escalate risks, delays, or discrepancies

Equipment & Logistics Coordination

  • Act as the point of reference for all incoming electrical gear and materials (UPS, Switchgears, Busway)
  • Verify deliveries against purchase orders and project schedules
  • Identify and resolve shipment discrepancies
  • Coordinate staging, storage, and movement of equipment on site

Schedule & Execution Support

  • Monitor daily field activities against established milestones
  • Assist in aligning contractors and site teams to prevent delays
  • Participate in coordination meetings and provide field insight

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate logs of equipment receipts, site activity, and issues
  • Deliver consistent daily/weekly updates to CLIENT PMs
  • Support punch-list validation and project closeout activities

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in construction, industrial operations, power systems, or field project coordination
  • Experience managing equipment logistics or material control
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail with the ability to work independently
  • Comfortable working in active industrial or construction environments

Preferred

  • Prior Assistant PM or Project Coordinator experience
  • Experience supporting electrical infrastructure or industrial equipment projects
  • OSHA 10/30 certification
