Job description

Company Overview:

SCATR – THE DATA CAMOUFLAGE COMPANY™

Born from warfighter requirements and inspired by the animal kingdom’s natural defense mechanisms, we developed patented, quantum-resistant Data Camouflage™ technology for data in motion—safeguarding enterprises and the individuals who depend on them.

The STUN™ security platform empowers organizations to proactively secure data in motion across untrusted networks, providing data obfuscation, resiliency, and quantum-proof security. Our patented, quantum-resistant Data Camouflage™ technology allows enterprises to secure their data in motion across the world’s most hostile environments, addressing a critical gap in Zero Trust security architectures that often focus on protecting data at rest (ZTN) and data in use (ZTNA).

We integrate with global providers like Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud and Equinix to enhance our placement and access, offering true edge to enterprise solutions.

SCATR is Zero Trust Transit™ security for data in motion.

Job Overview:

SCATR is seeking an experienced Zero Trust Architecture Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of the STUN™ security platform. As the Zero Trust Architecture Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, testing and maintaining a Zero Trust security model to protect the IT infrastructure and data. This role involves collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure that security is integrated into all aspects of our software product. The ideal candidate will have experience in cybersecurity, network architecture and Zero Trust principles.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement Zero Trust security architecture to enhance our software products.
  • Develop and enforce security policies and procedures based on Zero Trust principles.
  • Collaborate with IT, DevOps and security teams to integrate Zero Trust controls across all systems and applications.
  • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate security risks.
  • Implement and manage identity and access management (IAM) solutions, including multi-factor authentication (MFA) and least privilege access.
  • Monitor and analyze network traffic to detect and respond to security incidents.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for Zero Trust architecture policies and procedures.
  • Translate business requirements into technical designs and code implementations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
  • Participate in security audits and compliance efforts to ensure adherence to relevant standards and regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies and best practices in Zero Trust security.

Why SCATR?

  • Innovative Technology: Work with cutting-edge technologies that are transforming data security.
  • Collaboration & Growth: Join a dynamic team where your contributions directly impact global organizations' ability to secure their data in motion.
  • Competitive Benefits: We offer a comprehensive benefits package, flexible working hours and the opportunity to work on impactful projects.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Security Engineer, Network Security Engineer, cybersecurity, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of Zero Trust principles and frameworks, such as NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK, and CISA’s EINSTEIN framework
  • Experience with identity and access management (IAM) solutions.
  • Proficiency in network security technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and security automation and orchestration tools
  • Experience with architecting Zero Trust solutions in alignment with industry standards, including NIST 800-207, CISA Maturity Model, or DoD Zero Trust Strategy.
  • Knowledge of network principles, such as ZTA, SASE, SD-WAN
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and quickly adapt to changing priorities and project needs.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
