ABOUT HOTEL ZERO DEGREES DANBURY

ROLE SUMMARY:

To wash, dry and fold housekeeping linen and terry. Be flexible to work in other departments to help when needed. To be always courteous, positive and helpful to all guests and other associates. To be professional at all times, in demeanor and appearance.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Sort, wash, fold and deliver linen to housekeeping closets.
  • Fold linen to hotel standard – with minimal wrinkles.
  • Operate hotel rotary iron for linen with safety and precaution.
  • Maintain cleanliness of washing machines and dryers – clean lint traps and drains.
  • Monitor linen for stains and wear and tear – follow proper procedure for reclaim.
  • Collect dirty linen from service elevator landings, guest rooms and housekeeping carts.
  • Report any malfunction of washer and dryers to Housekeeping Management.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of laundry room and storage laundry room.
  • Remove any accumulated trash in laundry room.
  • Assist with deep cleaning projects and cleanliness of employee areas – breakroom, locker rooms, and employee hallways.
  • Bring your own special charm, warmth, and genuine customer service.
  • Provide superior guest service and respond quickly to the needs of our guests.
  • Become part of a close working team of proud professionals.
  • Must love customer service and find satisfaction in serving others.
  • Adhere to all hotel safety practices, policies and procedures.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Availability to work AM/PM Shifts is required
  • Requires candidates to remain on their feet for extended periods.
  • Previous experience working in Housekeeping and Hospitality is preferred.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays required.
  • Be able to bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to 30 pounds.
