Job description

Director of Marketing & Operations/ Only Agency Experience

Location: FL, USA-Remote

Candidate must be located in Miami or can work according to ET time zone.

Zen Media is the go-to B2B marketing and PR agency helping enterprise software, healthcare technology, professional services, and manufacturing brands achieve measurable growth and market leadership. By combining strategic content, leveraged media relations, and dynamic social amplification, we help our clients influence discerning buyers, shorten sales cycles, and drive ROI. Our work has been featured in leading publications such as Forbes, Fast Company, Ad Age, and The Wall Street Journal, and we have helped clients double their industry dominance and achieve profitable exits.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Director of Marketing & Operations to lead and oversee Zen Media's day-to-day marketing initiatives and operational efficiency. This role is ideal for a professional with a proven background in B2B marketing, operational management, and team leadership. The Director will be responsible for driving marketing strategy, managing client-facing campaigns, ensuring delivery excellence, and overseeing internal operations to support Zen Media's continued growth.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, remain calm and confident under pressure, and bring experience in leading and motivating high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Zen Media's marketing and operational strategy, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Oversee execution of B2B marketing campaigns across PR, digital, content, and paid media channels.
  • Manage and mentor cross-functional teams to ensure excellence in delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Develop and refine operational processes, workflows, and reporting structures to drive efficiency.
  • Collaborate with leadership to set KPIs and performance goals for both marketing and operations.
  • Provide regular performance reports and insights to executive leadership and clients.
  • Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of client campaigns, projects, and initiatives.
  • Partner with sales and account teams to support client acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.
  • Represent Zen Media with professionalism and authority in client-facing communications.

Qualifications

  • Calm, confident leadership style with the ability to manage complex projects and client expectations.
  • Proven track record (7+ years) in marketing and operations leadership, ideally within B2B or agency settings.
  • Experience in managing and scaling teams, with a focus on collaboration and accountability.
  • Strong knowledge of B2B marketing strategies, digital channels, and PR integration.
  • Preferably has a personal portfolio of past marketing/operations work demonstrating measurable impact.
  • Solid organizational and problem-solving skills with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Translating CEO vision into clear, actionable execution across marketing and operations
  • Balancing strategic leadership with hands-on operational ownership
  • Leading B2B marketing initiatives while ensuring performance and delivery quality
  • Improving and scaling internal processes, workflows, and execution systems
  • Operating as both a leader and an active contributor, not only a supervisor

It's a plus if you have:

  • Experience in enterprise, SaaS, professional services, or manufacturing industries.
  • Familiarity with PR-driven marketing models and earned/shared media strategies.
  • Previous success in operational scaling of a digital or PR agency.
  • Advanced knowledge of project management tools, CRMs, or automation systems.

What's Your Next Step?

If you are a seasoned leader who combines strategic marketing expertise with operational excellence, we'd love to hear from you. At Zen Media, you'll have the opportunity to lead a talented team, partner with high-growth B2B clients, and directly impact our company's success and client outcomes.
