Job description

The Hotel Zamora, a beautiful boutique hotel located in St. Pete Beach, FL, is seeking an experienced Valet Attendant. With stunning views overlooking the Intercoastal Waterway and Gulf of Mexico, the Hotel Zamora provides a luxurious retreat for its guests. Besides relaxing in the beautifully appointed guest rooms, our guests experience intuitive service in our Rooftop Lounge, Sidewalk Restaurant, Private Dining, and Meeting/Banquet space. The Hotel Zamora is under new ownership and management with Sherman Associates, an accomplished and proven real estate development and management company. Our commitment to people and our vision for the future, combined with our history of success spanning decades, makes Sherman Associates who we are today.

The Valet Attendant is responsible for providing memorable lasting impressions to guests as they arrive and leave the property, while helping guests with their automobiles, luggage, and packages upon arrival and departure and with arranging transportation when necessary. This position also involves assisting with beach operations and equipment as well as pool assistance as needed. A Valet Attendant must be friendly, courteous, professional, and demonstrate strong communication skills.

Hours and Schedule

We are currently seeking part-time & full-time hours on both weekdays and weekends. We're currently seeking to fill our overnight and daytime shifts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures every guest is greeted and welcomed on arrival
  • Safely parks guests' vehicles
  • Assists guests with luggage upon checking in and checking out and when meeting their transportation.
  • Requests taxicabs and answer inquiries
  • Informs incoming guests on the following while assisting them to their room: restaurant hours of operation, location of vending/ice machines; pool and beach information; fitness center information; emergency procedures; equipment and exit paths.
  • Takes pride in the overall look and feel of the hotel, assuring cleanliness and conditions are at their peak at all times
  • Submits all lost and found articles accompanied by a Lost and Found report.
  • Assists with doorperson functions and beach operations as needed.
  • Notifies guests via telephone of delivery of automobiles, packages, or other items and assists in delivering of guest items to their rooms.
  • Provides other assistance to guests as necessary to ensure the highest quality of service.
  • Completes additional duties as assigned

Education & Experience

  • 1-2 years of experience in a public contact position
  • Customer service experience in the hospitality industry strongly preferred
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to perform well under pressure
  • Detail-oriented, organized, cleanly
  • Must have a flexible schedule (may be required to work late shifts, weekends, or holidays as needed)

ADDITIONALSCREENING REQUIREMENTS

  • Current and valid driver's license is required. Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record check (MVR) and have a safe driving record.
  • Must successfully meet criminal background screening requirements for position.
