Now Hiring: Lead Teacher
Pay Range: $24.00/hour
Status: Full-Time
Location: South, YWCA Minneapolis
What You'll Do
As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for creating and implementing a high-quality, nurturing, anti-bias, developmentally appropriate classroom environment. You will provide leadership within the classroom team and ensure strong care, communication, and developmental support for children.
  • Develop and implement theme-based curriculum aligned with YWCA's Anti-Bias Curriculum
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive learning environment
  • Assess, document, and communicate children's developmental progress

Core Competencies
  • Early Childhood Education & Development: Ability to support social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development using best practices
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Experience guiding classroom staff and serving as a role model and mentor
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with families, staff, and stakeholders
