About the Job

Shorthand Studios is seeking a Senior Creative Strategist to support the development and execution of high-performing social and video content on Instagram and other social video platforms (YouTube, TikTok, etc.). This role is ideal for someone who is obsessed with the creative process, knows Instagram or YouTube; understands what makes videos click and has hands‑on experience shaping creative strategy for creators and brands.

Collaborative/process-focused: You'll work closely with the Creative Director and broader production team across the full content lifecycle — from initial ideation through refinement, production, and launch.

This is a full-time hire with benefits and competitive compensation.

Location: Remote (Nashville a plus)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead creative development of Instagram and YouTube video concepts for clients from idea through publication
  • Lead brainstorms and workshops around ideation of concepts, production execution, thumbnails, hooks, and video formats
  • Help translate performance data into creative insights and recommendations
  • Direct editors, producers, and channel managers on the operations and publishing teams to align creative with strategy
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions for new series, formats, and experiments
  • Manage multiple projects while meeting weekly / monthly / quarterly publishing deadlines
  • Stay up to date on YouTube trends, creator formats, and platform best practices
  • Support presentation of creative ideas internally and, occasionally, to partners or clients
Job Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in video, digital media, social content, or a related field
  • Strong familiarity with YouTube as a platform (creator ecosystem, formats, trends)
  • Basic understanding of marketing fundamentals and audience‑first storytelling
  • Comfortable working across multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Collaborative, curious, and eager to learn
  • Able to take feedback and iterate quickly
  • Comfortable working under deadlines without sacrificing quality
