Job description

At NASCAR, you will find a community of passionate individuals who care about our sport and are united in seeing it grow.
NASCAR seeks a highly skilled YouTube Video Producer (Senior Coordinator) with deep, hands-on experience creating YouTube-first video content. This role is ideal for a true YouTube native-someone who understands the technical craft of video production as well as the platform's ecosystem, audience behavior, and growth dynamics.
The YouTube Video Producer will own projects end-to-end: concepting, shooting, editing, packaging, and publishing content that performs on YouTube and enhances NASCAR's digital presence. This position requires a creator who is as strong behind the camera and in the edit as they are in storytelling.
Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Ideate, shoot, produce, and edit high-performing YouTube-first videos that highlight NASCAR drivers, culture, stories, and events.
  • Execute full-cycle production - ideation, scripting, field production, camera operation, audio capture, editing, and finishing.
  • Create both long-form and short-form content (episodic, documentary-style, behind-the-scenes, challenge formats, personality-driven content, etc.).
  • Apply YouTube-native best practices, including packaging, thumbnails, pacing, retention strategies, end screens, playlists, and metadata optimization.
  • Experiment with new formats and storytelling techniques tailored to YouTube audiences.
  • Collaborate across NASCAR's social, marketing, editorial, and production teams to plan shoots and capture content at races, events, and off-track features.
  • Travel to races/events to film dynamic content that authentically brings the NASCAR experience to life.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects while ensuring high production quality, on-time delivery, and creative alignment with NASCAR's brand voice.
  • Stay current on digital trends, YouTube platform updates, and audience behaviors to help evolve NASCAR's overall video strategy.
  • Travel: 30%, including weekends during race seasons.

Required skills/experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of hands-on digital video production experience with at least 1-2 years specifically producing content for YouTube.
  • Advanced technical proficiency in:
  • Adobe Premiere Pro (primary)
  • Final Cut Pro or equivalent NLE
  • Camera operation, lighting, and audio equipment
  • A strong understanding of YouTube analytics, retention curves, packaging strategy, and audience development.
  • Ability to independently manage shoots, solve production challenges, and execute high-quality edits under tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional time-management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Familiarity with the sports industry - motorsports preferred.
  • A portfolio demonstrating at least two YouTube videos you personally shot and edited (required).
