Job description

The Visual Content Strategist is a customer-focused storyteller who owns the video and photography pipeline — planning, capturing, editing, and delivering professional visual content that shows who Geoprobe® is, what we build, and why it matters. Working alongside marketing teammates also skilled in digital photography and videography, you'll scout locations, coordinate shoots, and produce polished videos and photos on deadline while also contributing written content for use across marketing media. One day you're in the field photographing a machine in action; the next you're filming a service tutorial or interviewing an employee for a recruitment video. Success comes from collaborating across teams, uncovering stories that help customers succeed, and consistently delivering quality visual content that strengthens brand presence and deepens customer connections.

Responsibilities

  • Own the video and photography pipeline — scout locations, plan and coordinate shoots across teams — managing projects from concept through delivery
  • Capture and edit professional photos and videos of machines, tools, people, and events
  • Produce videos that tell stories, showcase product benefits, or explain processes
  • Draft video scripts, including voiceover and onscreen text
  • Write clear, engaging content for case studies, email/social campaigns, and web pages
  • Proof work for accuracy and brand consistency before review
  • Build understanding of company culture, products, and customer needs
  • Develop relationships across departments to find storytelling opportunities

You might be a good fit if you...

  • Thrive behind the camera and feel confident working around heavy equipment
  • Take ownership of projects from initial concept through final delivery, driven to get projects across the finish line
  • Communicate effectively with people across departments to coordinate shoots and draw out stories
  • Enjoy a variety of visual and written communication projects
  • Manage multiple projects while adapting to changing priorities
  • Have a sharp eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality visual content

Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, photography/videography, or related field — or equivalent experience
    • 3+ years of professional video/photo production experience (portfolio required)
    • Advanced photography and videography skills — capture and editing
    • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and Photoshop
    • Strong writing, editing, organizational, and time-management skills
    • Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across teams
    • Mechanical aptitude and comfort around heavy equipment
    • Certified drone pilot or willingness to obtain certification

Bonus

    • Familiarity with Lightroom and After Effects
    • Experience with short-form animation and/or SolidWorks modeling
    • Video promotion experience on YouTube or other social platforms
    • Understanding of appropriate use of AI applications in marketing
