Job Summary:
Google is a leading technology company, and they are seeking a Senior Security Engineer for YouTube. In this role, you will help protect network boundaries and maintain a secure operating environment by analyzing vulnerabilities, performing security design reviews, and leading responses to security incidents.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze vulnerability trends to design out systemic risks and implement secure-by-default frameworks. Address vulnerabilities through direct code contributions, mitigations, and systemic hardening.
• Perform security design reviews for new YouTube features and distributed systems. Leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) and foundational models to identify and automate the remediation of security gaps.
• Lead the technical response and post-mortem analysis for security incidents across YouTube products.
• Research and mitigate platform-specific risks within the YouTube iOS and Android ecosystems. Review mobile application designs and code (e.g., Objective-C, Swift, Java, Kotlin) for security vulnerabilities.
• Partner with mobile teams to integrate security tools and processes throughout the application development life-cycle.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with security assessments, security design reviews, or threat modeling.
• 5 years of coding experience in one or more general purpose languages.
• 5 years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security, and security protocols.
Preferred:
• Experience with vulnerability analysis and remediation.
• Experience with mobile application security in Android or iOS.
• Experience with Objective-C, Swift, Java, or Kotlin.
