Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Quantitative Science, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 13 years of experience working in data analytics, consulting, data science, engineering, or a technical operations role.
  • 13 years of experience in statistical problem solving and analyzing data sets using SQL or comparable coding language (e.g. Python, R, Java, C ).
  • 5 years of experience managing a team.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, etc.).
  • Experience influencing senior leadership on analytical decision making.
  • Experience in data analysis, with the ability to solve problems in complex, fast-moving, and ambiguous business environments through excellent data intuition and business acumen.
  • Experience ideating and designing end-to-end consumer-focused surveys and mixed-method research, with a proven ability to report results and strategic insights to senior leadership.
  • Ability to effectively communicate analysis and recommendations across a wide range of non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities
  • Lead high-stakes consumer research and mixed-method studies (conjoint, surveys, focus groups) to define YouTube's content acquisition, product prioritization, and business generation strategies.
  • Build robust financial models and conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to evaluate business outcomes and mitigate risks for new initiatives.
  • Analyze complex data sets to identify actionable trends, translating raw qualitative and quantitative insights into clear, data-driven business opportunities.
  • Deliver strategic recommendations and thought leadership to VP- and Director-level stakeholders across YouTube Music, Media, Product, and Engineering verticals.
  • Manage and mentor a team of analysts and researchers, driving execution excellence and upholding rigorous quality standards across all projects.
