Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in consumer product management.
  • 2 years of experience taking technical consumer products from conception to launch.
  • Experience working with content recommendation engines.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in a technology or business related field.
  • Experience in product management for video streaming or connected TV platforms.
  • Understanding of the short-form video ecosystem and its evolution for viewers, creators, and advertisers.
  • Experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to executive leadership.
  • Experience launching products at scale and working across a large cross-functional team.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with working in fast-paced environments and with global stakeholders.

In this role, you will manage the YouTube Shorts on TV experience. You will guide short-form content consumption, community, and interaction across devices. Additionally, you will collaborate across recommendations, ads, and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) teams to deliver media experiences.

Responsibilities
  • Set the goal and strategy for how YouTube on TV viewers consume and interact with YouTube Shorts across the player, entrypoints, and discovery journeys.
  • Collaborate with recommendation and quality teams to optimize Shorts content for the living room with topical feeds and communal recommendations.
  • Enhance the Shorts player with interactive and multi-format capabilities, scaling bets across shopping, music, and movies and shows integrations.
  • Partner with Ads teams to develop next-generation TV-first Shorts ad formats and with OEMs for high-performance playback across surfaces.
  • Develop product and visual design for the Shorts short-form content experience on TV.
