Job description

Description

As a Digital Marketing Specialist, you are an integral member of the Marketing team. Reporting directly to the Marketing Director, the Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for executing and managing digital content and marketing initiatives that connect both new and existing CP members to our community. This role focuses on day-to-day content creation, app management, campaign support, and maintaining a strong digital presence across all platforms.

Who We Are

Our Connection Pointe Staff Team is a unified group of imperfect people who tirelessly work to connect people to a saving relationship with Jesus and life changing relationships with each other. As individuals we have a personal relationship with Christ and are committed to the vision of Connection Pointe Christian Church.

How We Lead

  • We give ministry away: as staff we are always looking for faithful volunteers who can step up into roles that allow us to expand and replicate ourselves. We look for leaders who can lead leaders.
  • We work hard and prioritize our families: with the exception of Easter, Christmas and other “all hands” pushes, we work 5 days a week and have an extended two-day sabbath from Friday through Saturday for weekend required employees that allows us to leave work at work and be with our families.
  • We are always improving: we seek new ways of connecting people to Jesus and each other. We are always asking “How could we make this experience or environment better?”
  • We are customer first: we seek world class customer experiences that meet people in their mess and surpass expectations.
  • We find a way: we cut through red tape like ninjas, relentlessly seeking to serve the people in our care with grace, perseverance and courage. There is always a way, we just have to find it.
  • We assume the best and fight for unity
Responsibilities

Connecting People to Jesus

  • Daily Hope Creation & Scheduling: Create, write, and schedule daily devotional and inspirational content (“Daily Hope”) across digital platforms to consistently engage and spiritually encourage the CP community.
  • Marketing Campaign Management: Partner with the Marketing Director to develop, execute, and monitor marketing campaigns for services, events, and ministry initiatives—ensuring messaging aligns with Connection Pointe’s mission to connect people to Jesus.
  • YouTube Management: Oversee the CP YouTube channel, including uploading content, writing titles and descriptions, managing playlists, and tracking performance analytics to grow reach and viewership.

Connecting People to Each other

  • CP+ App Content Creation & Scheduling: Develop and schedule compelling content within the CP+ App, ensuring members have access to timely, relevant, and engaging resources that foster connection.
  • CP App Management: Serve as a day-to-day manager of the CP App, maintaining content accuracy, coordinating updates, and ensuring a seamless user experience for the congregation.
  • Website Updates: Manage and update the church website with current event information, sermon content, announcements, and other relevant materials to keep the digital front door welcoming and accurate.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Director and other departments to ensure all digital content reflects a cohesive and unified brand voice across platforms.

Personal Growth

  • Consistently seek personal and professional growth through prayer, study, and participation in conferences, workshops, and training opportunities.
  • Stay current with trends in digital marketing, social media, and church communications, adapting strategies and approaches as needed.
  • Actively seek input and feedback from team members and leadership to continually improve creative output.
How You’ll Succeed
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • A heart for ministry and a desire to serve the Connection Pointe community.
  • Respond to emails and phone calls within 24 hours of being in the office.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
  • Strive to improve personal and professional skills by looking for and participating in learning opportunities.
  • Attend a weekly service to stay in tune with the direction of Connection Pointe and to continue developing spiritually.
What We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in digital marketing, content creation, or social media management, preferably in a church, non-profit, or community-focused organization.
  • Familiarity with content management systems, app platforms, social media scheduling tools, and analytics platforms.
  • Strong written communication skills with an ability to craft engaging, on-brand content for diverse digital channels.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and works well across departments.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and brings creative ideas to the table.
  • Hunger for learning and integrating AI into their work: actively seeks out emerging AI tools and technologies, experimenting with ways to streamline content creation, scheduling, and campaign management to maximize impact and efficiency.
Bonus Points
  • Experience in a megachurch or large non-profit setting.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or similar design tools.
