Job Title: Student Worker - Children and Youth Program Administrative Assistant - Mission Waco

Job Classification: Administrative and Office Services, Student

Department: Off Campus Community Service

Work Schedule: 10-20 hours/week, flexible working hours

Desired Length of Employment: Fall/Ongoing

Pay Rate: $11.00-12.50/hr

  • In a student employee capacity, may perform or assist with similar functions of an administrative associate or office manager.

Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY - Assist the Children and Youth programs with daily clerical and operational needs of the children and youth after school program and the annual Toy Store community event. MUST BE ELIGIBLE for FEDERAL WORK-STUDY. This is off-campus employment, so reliable transportation is important.
FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION - Help with the planning and organization of the children and youth after school program and the annual Toy Store community event; Assist in maintaining the organization of program records and the facilities; Assist in communication with volunteers, staff and families
REQUIRED HARD SKILLS - General office skills. Good written and oral communication with others.
REQUIRED SOFT SKILLS - Mature and adept communicator. Organized and detail oriented. Flexibility and ability to prioritize well. Problem solving competence.
LEARNING OUTCOMES - Improve communication skills with various social demographics. Improve problem solving ability. Some knowledge of customer service with various demographics. Improve knowledge and understanding of community event planning.
Hourly Rate: $11-$12.50/hour (depending on new or returning student worker status and/or any recognized special skill level)
