About the role
Walton Family Whole Health & Fitness, managed by HealthFitness, has an exciting & meaningful opportunity for a Youth Activity Manager in Bentonville, AR. In this role, you will be responsible for Youth Activity Center supervision and working with the Youth Activity Director towards the development and delivery of youth related programs and services. Schedule is 40 hours per week Monday-Friday 11am - 8pm, with rotating weekends (flex during week when work a weekend).
Responsible for Youth Activity Center supervision and working with the Youth Activity Director towards the development and delivery of youth related programs and services.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Plans, assigns, and directs work assignments to ensure youth activity staff remain challenged and productivity is maximized.
  • Works with the Youth Activity Director to ensure all youth activity staff is properly trained and hold appropriate certifications necessary for safe and effective youth program delivery; provides continuous feedback to all youth activity staff to ensure quality of all programs and services. Supports the Business Operations Director with formal performance appraisals and formal corrective action process when warranted.
  • Works in tandem with the Youth Activity Director to lead regular staff meetings to ensure associates are informed about HealthFitness and Walmart business events.
  • Assists in submittal of employment forms, payroll records and billing worksheets accurately and according to contract provisions and HealthFitness policies. Development of weekly staff work schedules for the Youth Activity business unit.
  • Assists the Youth Activity Director with the tracking of youth activity center program usage data.
  • Planning of activities for the children and assisting with stimulating and age-appropriate games, tasks, and special events; supports the coordination of marketing and communications to maximize program engagement.
  • Supervises all youth related program activities in accordance with HealthFitness operational, quality, safety, and service standards.
  • Maintains accurate youth activity records and ensures confidentiality of data collected during activities is in accordance with HealthFitness requirements, including applicable file transfer, processes, collaborating with related suppliers and/or storage.
  • Creates and maintains bulletin boards, newsletters and other Youth Activity Center marketing and communication materials.
  • Other duties as needed/assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Child Care, Recreation, or related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience.
  • Minimum of 1+ years of prior supervisory experience.
  • Adult/Child/Infant CPR, First Aid and AED certification through the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, National Safety Council, or American Safety & Health Institute.
  • Strong leadership, team management, interpersonal and customer service skills including the ability to motivate others.
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands, meet deadlines, and collaborate with all business units, parents, and children.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook; and working knowledge of the member management system, databases, and tools.
  • Must be available to work weekends and evenings.

Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test. The compensation range for this role is $45,000 - $52,000 annually. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.
