About the Role:
Amazing Athletes of Kansas City is looking for an energetic and passionate Youth Sports Coach to inspire the next generation of athletes in Overland Park, KS! This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in kids' lives by building confidence, teamwork, and a love of movement through sport. If you thrive around young people and have a heart for coaching, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate sports and fitness sessions for youth participants
  • Introduce children to a variety of sports, teaching fundamental skills and rules
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging environment for all skill levels
  • Supervise and ensure the safety of all participants during practices and activities
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding program updates and child progress
  • Set up and break down equipment before and after each session
  • Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating sportsmanship and teamwork
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children in a coaching, teaching, or childcare setting is a bonus
  • Knowledge of basic sports fundamentals across multiple sports
  • Excellent communication and classroom/group management skills
  • Energetic, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor with a passion for youth development
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
  • Reliable transportation to program locations in Johnson and Jackson County
