Youth Development Programs Director
YMCA of Collier County
The YMCA of Collier County is seeking a passionate and experienced Youth Development Programs Director to lead and oversee our school-age, teen, and youth enrichment programs. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring high-quality programming, regulatory compliance, staff development, program growth, and positive outcomes for children and families throughout our community.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the daily operations of multiple youth development and school-age program sites across Collier County.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop Site Supervisors and program staff.
  • Ensure compliance with YMCA standards, licensing requirements, and safety regulations.
  • Manage program budgets, enrollment, reporting, and fee collection.
  • Develop engaging programs that support social-emotional growth, academic success, and youth enrichment.
  • Build strong relationships with families, schools, community partners, and funding agencies.
  • Support grant reporting, program expansion, and community outreach efforts.
  • Maintain staffing plans and ensure appropriate child-to-staff ratios at all times.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Recreation, Human Services, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Director Credential required; Florida Director Credential preferred (within 1 year of hire).
  • Experience managing youth, childcare, after-school, or recreation programs.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and lead multiple program locations.
  • Must be over 21 years old, and have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to pass DCF national background screening
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certification required within 90 days of hire.
