Northern York County School District is seeking a highly organized, professional, and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent to serve as a trusted member of our leadership team. This unique role provides executive administrative support to the Superintendent, supports Human Resources operations, and serves as the District's School Board Secretary.

What You'll Do

Executive Support to the Superintendent

  • Manage the Superintendent's calendar, meetings, and appointments
  • Draft, edit, and distribute professional communications and correspondence
  • Create polished presentations and communication materials
  • Coordinate districtwide projects, events, and special initiatives
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for visitors, calls, emails, and inquiries
  • Assist with annual district calendar development and distribution

School Board Secretary Responsibilities

  • Prepare and distribute Board agendas, minutes, contracts, and supporting materials
  • Attend School Board meetings and assist with meeting logistics
  • Maintain Board records and online governance documents
  • Coordinate Board elections, reorganizations, and professional development opportunities
  • Manage required public notices and ethics reporting processes

Human Resources Support

  • Assist with onboarding and exit processes
  • Process employment-related documents and contracts
  • Maintain personnel records and compliance documentation
  • Support employee training and clearance tracking
  • Create employee identification badges
  • Assist with internal communications and district news updates

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 5-7 years of administrative assistant or executive assistant experience preferred
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based applications
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
