We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Wellness Instructor at Murrieta Hot Springs Resort to provide exceptional Wellness experiences for our guests. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction through heartfelt service and caring connections. Our Murrieta Hot Springs Resort Wellness Instructors cultivate rejuvenating, memorable experiences through attention to detail, quality, and care and embody our purpose of “caring for the enhanced vitality for all.” 

Requirements:

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead group instruction classes for guests of all ages including but not limited to yoga, meditation, stretch, contrast bathing, sound bowls, breath work, walks/hikes and water yoga.
  • Provide general information on resort-related activities as well as local area activities available for guests.
  • Be the initial and complete source of information regarding what classes and activities are available and all procedures to ensure guest comfort (i.e. classes and activities, equipment, products and retail items).
  • Provide one-on-one training to guests.
  • Teach proper body alignment and posture to ensure maximum benefit and safety.
  • Prepare and maintain all wellness facilities in a clean and tidy order. Ensure the facility is prepared for proper opening and closing each day.
  • Ensure the highest level of safety at all times at the resort and during activities and classes.
  • Maintain accurate guest roster and guest waver policy at all times.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures and, when applicable, follow all procedures for emergency situations.
  • Resolve guest challenges following proper conduct standards.
  • At all times, demonstrate the highest level of professionalism in dealing with guests, staff and managers.
  • Keep work area clean of all clutter while maintaining professional appearance and standards.
  • Participate in further learning activities. Maintain up to date knowledge of classes, programs, products, and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:

  • High work ethic, self-initiative, independent judgment
  • Proven customer service and problem-solving experience.
  • Regular attendance. Will be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to maintain excellent relationships with guests and maintain staff and guest confidentiality at all times.
  • A current certification in yoga, personal training, group exercise instruction and/or other wellness specializations. 
  • Skills necessary to teach a variety of classes, e.g., stretching, yoga, water yoga, meditation, hiking, etc.
  • At least 2 years’ experience teaching complimentary wellness activities preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Stand, sit and walk for varying lengths of time, often long periods of time.
  • Bend, stoop, squat, and stretch.
  • Lift approximately fifty (50) pounds of equipment or supplies using safe lifting techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, pulling, pushing.
  • Direct evacuations in an emergency.
  • Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, multi-line tone phone, filing cabinets, photocopiers, and other office equipment as needed.
