After you apply to this job, you can share why you’re interested to jump to the top of the candidate list.

Job description

We’re seeking a talented Marketing Copywriter to join our Arlington-based marketing crew. You’ll write stories that highlight our charity team-building activities like the world-famous Build-A-Bike® event. Your posts will publicize work that has donated over $8 million worth of bicycles to kids around the world, has helped thousands of families enjoy healthy home-cooked meals together, and even provided a little retail therapy to furry friends at animal shelters.

You'll also be working within a young and enthusiastic marketing team -- so you don't have to do everything yourself. And often throughout the day and week, the team is just brainstorming new ideas and new ways to promote the great work we are doing.

What We Do at The Leaders Institute®

The Leaders Institute® is a soft-skills consulting company based in Arlington, Texas. We build rock-solid teams for clients through Build-A-Bike® and other charity team activities. And we also specialize in helping client companies develop communication skills, build more of a team culture, and promote leaders from within their organizations.

Our Arlington squad is just as tight, swapping laughs and brainstorming brilliance daily. Ready to ditch the freelance grind? Hop on board to write stories that strengthen bonds and boost spirits!

Key Responsibilities

  • Write event case studies to showcase client wins and boost SEO.
  • Craft information-based blogs spotlighting leadership development, team-building, and presentation skills. (Don't worry if you have no background in these topics. We have a team of experts in our office. This role is more like a reporter who can interview these experts and create content based on that expertise.)
  • We have tons of cool tech tools to make copywriting easier. We use Claude.ai, SEMrush, Moz, Yoast, and a few other really fun AI programs to help you save time and create "searchable" content for blogs, social media, podcasts, and online videos.
  • You'll also refresh older blog posts with new keywords and images to keep our content in the fast lane.
  • Collaborate on a 12-month marketing plan, aligning posts and social media with themes like holiday team-building.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of copywriting experience, ideally in B2B or corporate marketing. (In lieu of experience, you can send us some sample work to review.)
  • Proven ability to write case studies, blogs, and/or industry-specific content that shifts gears for impact.
  • Social media skills to manage LinkedIn, YouTube, and other platforms with flair.
  • Conversational writing style that’s professional yet engaging.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Advertising, English, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is ideal, but not required.
  • Experience with Blog/SEO tools (WordPress, Yoast, MOZ, Ahrefs, wtc.) is ideal, but not required.
  • Any graphic design experience is helpful but not required.
  • What we are really looking for, though, is someone eager to join our Arlington team in the heart of the entertainment district.
