Job description

Position Purpose:
The Web Content Specialist is responsible for constructing high-performing web pages using provided graphics, copy, and wireframes. This role requires expertise in web-building platforms such as WordPress, ClickFunnels, and Elementor to bring marketing and content pages to life. The ideal candidate understands the strategic elements of webpage performance, user experience, and conversion optimization. They must also have basic coding knowledge for implementing tracking tags and ensuring seamless integration with marketing tools. This role requires close collaboration with marketing, written content, and design teams to ensure all web pages align with GTN's goals and branding.
Essential Duties:
  • Build and maintain GTN webpages using WordPress, ClickFunnels, Elementor, and similar platforms, ensuring ease of updates, functionality, mobile responsiveness, and UX optimization.
  • Manage website content, promotions, forms, permissions, and media updates while maintaining brand consistency and accuracy.
  • Launch and maintain promotional landing pages, banners, and product links, coordinating with project managers and producers to ensure timely and accurate updates.
  • Troubleshoot website issues, implement custom HTML/CSS/JavaScript solutions as needed, and coordinate advanced fixes with developers.
  • Create and manage UTM tracking, analytics tags, pixels, and integrations with CRM, email marketing, and automation platforms.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on website performance, conversions, and campaign effectiveness, recommending optimizations and improvements.
  • Apply SEO best practices, optimize landing pages for lead generation, and support GTN's sales funnel strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute web projects efficiently and accurately.
  • Research and implement emerging web and AI technologies to improve workflows and results.
  • Develop SOPs, training materials, and strategic recommendations for website improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong proficiency in WordPress, ClickFunnels, Elementor, and other page-builder tools. Comfortable working primarily in no-code/low-code environments by design - not because of a skill gap, but because maintainability by the broader team is a priority.
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics, including navigating reports, setting up goals/events, and interpreting traffic and conversion data.
  • Proficiency in creating and managing UTM parameters for campaign tracking and attribution.
  • Basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript knowledge for implementing tracking codes, troubleshooting, and building custom sections when needed.
  • Understanding of conversion-focused design principles and ability to implement best practices for lead generation.
  • Familiarity with tracking tags, pixels, and analytics integrations to support marketing measurement.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills to ensure error-free page deployment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and handle regular weekly update cycles in a fast-paced marketing environment.
  • Effective collaborator who can work closely with designers, copywriters, marketers, and Producers to translate needs into functional web pages.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices, including proper use of headings, alt text, metadata, and structured data.
  • Active, continuous learner with genuine curiosity about how AI and emerging technologies can improve web workflows - building, deploying, testing, and analyzing performance.
  • Comfortable with the expectation that the website should be built in a way that others can update it - and willing to document processes to make that possible.
  • Experience optimizing pages for mobile responsiveness and fast load times.
  • Ability to create basic web graphics and write conversion-focused copy is a plus - not required, but a strong advantage for someone who can self-serve on simple content needs without waiting on other teams.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted content tools such as Claude Desktop and Claude Design for generating graphics, copy, and layout ideas.

Requirements:
  • Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Must sign the Statement of Faith.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent education is required.
  • A Charis Bible College student or graduate is preferred.
  • Must pass all required checks.

Experience:
  • 2+ years of experience in webpage building, website management, or digital marketing support.
  • Experience with Google Analytics and web performance reporting.
  • Experience creating UTM parameters and tracking campaign performance.
  • Familiarity with WordPress, Elementor, ClickFunnels, or similar page-builder platforms (required).
  • Compensation is commensurate with experience.
