Turn your passion for fitness into purpose by leading engaging group exercise classes that help members build confidence, improve their health, and have fun along the way. What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead safe, engaging, and effective group exercise classes for participants of all fitness levels.
  • Create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that encourages members to reach their wellness goals.
  • Motivate, educate, and support participants throughout each class.
  • Arrive early to set up equipment and greet members before class begins.
  • Build positive relationships with members and help connect them to the YMCA community.

  • Current nationally recognized Group Exercise Certification or the ability to obtain one within the timeframe established by the supervisor.
  • Specialty certification(s) for the class formats you teach, as required.
  • CPR/AED and First Aid Certification, or the ability to obtain certification before employment.
