Job description

Summary:

The purpose of this position is to use various hand tools and machines to cut, fabricate, and assemble architectural aluminum doors and frames by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Properly picks materials for production.
  • Fabricates material for standard hardware.
  • Assembles fabricated doors and frames.
  • Packages finished product for shipping purposes.
  • Conducts inventory cycle counts.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

 

Education/Experience/Skills:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus 0-1 year of fabrication experience in a warehouse environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.  Proper lifting techniques required.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.  The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance.

No travel is required for this job.

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this position. Individuals are required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at designated times and in specified environments in accordance with established safety program requirements. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate. While performing job duties, individuals may occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical parts.
