Manufacturing EngineerCompany Overview

Position Summary

As a Manufacturing Engineer at Yellowfin Yachts LLC., you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency, quality, and safety of our manufacturing processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, design, and quality assurance to drive continuous improvement initiatives and optimize our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to production teams, troubleshooting issues, and implementing corrective actions to ensure smooth operations
  • Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of new boat designs and facilitate seamless transition to production
  • Develop work instructions, bill of materials (BOMs), standard operating procedures (SOPs), and manufacturing guidelines to maintain consistency and quality in production processes
  • Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness
  • Work closely with other facilities to create alignment between processes and procedures
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions to streamline production workflows and minimize cycle times
  • Utilize lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and optimize resource utilization
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure adherence to specifications and standards
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to evaluate suppliers and ensure quality
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers
  • Champion safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures
  • Maintain current knowledge about industry trends and regulatory changes
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or related field required.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and production technologies.
  • Proficiency in CAD, PLM, and ERP systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement (Six Sigma preferred).
  • Understanding of regulatory and quality standards
