Job Title:        Truck Driver/ Medium Truck Driver / Spotter Operator

Location:        4353 N Richards Street, Milwaukee, WI 53212 (Onsite)

Job Type:       Temp-to-Permanent (up to 40 hours/week)

Note:

  • CDL NOT required – This role does not involve off-site driving.
  • Pay Rate: $27.05/hour base + $5.36/hour Health & Welfare = Total: $32.41/hour

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Medium Truck Driver / Spotter Operator to safely operate yard spotter trucks on-site. This position is responsible for moving trailers between parking areas and dock doors to support efficient warehouse and yard operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate yard spotter trucks to move trailers between warehouse yard and dock locations based on established schedules.
  • Back trailers into dock doors and reposition them within the yard as needed.
  • Load and unload trailers independently or with assistance.
  • Perform pre-operation safety inspections on vehicles, material handling equipment (MHE), and related tools.
  • Ensure all vehicles and equipment are in good working condition prior to use.
  • Use the customer’s Warehouse Management System (WMS) to generate and close out manifests when required.
  • Meet productivity, safety, and quality control standards for assigned work areas.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and all company and USPS policies.
  • Communicate operational issues promptly to the Project Manager and Operations Manager.
  • Maintain professional communication with coworkers and site management.

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2–3 years of experience operating tractor-trailers or yard spotter vehicles preferred.
  • Warehouse and WMS experience preferred.

Job Requirements:

  1. Must be U.S. Citizen
  2. Possess a valid Driver’s License/CDL
  3. Warehouse and WMS experience preferred.
  4. 2-3 years’ experience of over-the-road tractor trailer driving
  5. Ability to operate Material Handling Equipment (Forklifts and other).
  6. Ability to operate power tools and other industrial equipment.
