Job Summary:
We are seeking a safety-conscious Yard Help/Equipment Operator to join our team at our Kansas City Kansas location off of Kansas Avenue. This position works with a team to inspect all equipment that arrives at TSL's terminal and utilizes heavy equipment to move chassis and containers within TSL property. This is a 1st shift position, typically working Monday-Friday from 7:45am-5:00pm.
Yard Help Duties:
  • Safely operates equipment, such as container lifts and shag trucks
  • Moves containers and chassis to proper areas of TSL property for storage and/or maintenance
  • Performs inspections on trailers, chassis, and containers entering the yard gate using a hand-held device
  • Notes the conditions of equipment after inspection and enters all data into tablet
  • Serves as one of the first points of contact as drivers enter the yard
  • Directs drivers to appropriate area of the yard
  • Other duties as assigned
