Job description

Are you ready to take the lead in a dynamic role where you can apply your management and operational skills? We're looking for a Yard Manager to oversee the fast-paced yard and delivery operations at our Olathe location. Join our team and be a driving force behind our success!
What You Will Do in This Role:
  • Prioritize safety as you oversee yard coordinators, yard supervisors, and transportation drivers, achieving excellence through teamwork regarding on-time deliveries, machine readiness, and customer satisfaction metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations for employees and rental fleet.
  • Develop and mentor employees, cultivating their skills and enhancing their performance.
  • Manage and maintain inventory, ensuring assets are in excellent condition.
  • Collaborate with management to develop operational strategies, goals, budgets, and cost controls.
  • Prepare and distribute necessary operational reports and records.
  • Develop, implement, and review yard policies and procedures for consistency.
  • Oversee Return-to-Rent inspections, providing support as needed.
  • Provide customer support on product and machine operations inquiries.
  • Direct yard organization, maintenance, and upkeep.
  • Travel is required for training and/or to assist at other locations.

  • Basic repair and diagnostic experience with equipment is required.
  • Experience in construction, agriculture, automotive, or transportation field.
  • Ability to positively motivate, manage, and develop employees.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with managers, employees, and customers across multiple divisions.
  • Working knowledge of equipment and its operations.
  • Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • Strong decision-making and computer skills.
  • Ability to drive and valid driver's license required.
