A CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) is not typically qualified to serve as a radiology assistant, as the role usually requires specialized training in radiologic procedures and certification in radiologic technology. Familiarity with radiology equipment, PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System), and adherence to radiation safety protocols are essential. Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to reassure and position patients effectively are vital soft skills. These competencies ensure accurate imaging, patient comfort, and safe, efficient workflow in medical diagnostic settings.
