Expert MRI is a cutting-edge medical diagnostics company featuring the regions foremost experts in neck/spine injury and general orthopedic imaging.The physicians and staff at Expert MRI are among Californias most knowledgeable and experienced at diagnosing orthopedic and traumatic brain imaging. In addition to extensive MRI capabilities, we also use CT and X-ray to assist in properly diagnosing your patients condition. We are currently looking for an X-Ray Technologist to join our team

**Pay Range: $45-$50 per hour**Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7 am - 3:30 pm Our X-ray Technologist will operate X-Ray imaging equipment to produce flat - plane images of the patient s body for diagnostic purposes. Responsibilities would include: Interviews patient to explain X-ray imaging procedures and ensures removal of those metal objects which can prevent successful imaging. Prevents others from entering the room when the X-ray machine is scanning.

Positions patient on examining table or standing in the correct orientation and focuses on the area of interest, following protocols requested by Radiologist. Demonstrates the ability to facilitate patient and technologist communication during examination. Enters data such as patient history, anatomical area to be imaged, orientation specified, and positioning utilized into computer.

Keys commands to specify views obtained and adjust parameters into computer. Observes patient through window of control room to monitor patient safety and comfort and communicates regularly with patient to assure comfort and compliance. Modify X-ray technique parameters as needed to achieve optimal results.

Moves dicom datasets to destinations and storage per policy and procedure. Alerts and controls access to anyone about to enter the X-ray room to the danger of entering a radiation emitting area. Acts as a gatekeeper to maintain a safe environment.

Stops imaging if problems arise. Minimizes radiation exposure while maintaining sufficient dose for diagnostic quality images. Solves problems in real time and escalates when necessary for quality and patient safety.

Participates in the training of X-ray students in their clinical rotation as needed. Education/Certificates/Licenses: Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic Life Support Certified by American Heart Association Graduate of a certified school of X-ray technology Registered as a fully licensed X-ray technologist by ARRT bypassing the registry exam and qualifying for the position.
