Job description

Title: PL/SQL Developer
Must-have skills: Oracle, PL/SQL, DML and DDL, Oracle Forms, PHP, Gitlab, TOAD, SQL Developer, SQL Navigator, UML, Scrum, Extreme Programming (XP) and Kanban
Location: Tallahassee, FL
Estimated Duration: 8 months with possible extension
Requirements:
  • Experience with Oracle databases with the capability to write complex queries and develop complex PL/SQL database objects, including both DML and DDL (7+ years);
  • Experience developing Oracle Forms (5+ years);
  • Experience developing PHP applications (3+ years);
  • Experience using code repositories, preferably Gitlab;
  • Experience using continuous integration tools, preferably Jenkins;
  • Experience in relational and object-oriented database designs;
  • Experience with object-oriented design methodologies;
  • Experience in Information Systems Development Methodology (ISDM);
  • Experience with database query tools (i.e., TOAD, SQL Developer, SQL Navigator);
  • Experience in database security, including role-based security;
  • Experience with Unified Modeling Language (UML);
  • Experience with Agile development, specifically Scrum, Extreme Programming (XP) and Kanban (preferred);
  • Experience developing classic Microsoft ASP (ASP 3.0) applications (preferred);
  • Experience in web development leveraging XML and CSS (preferred);
  • Experience with JQuery (Javascript library) (preferred);
  • Experience with additional Javascript frameworks, such as AngularJS, NodeJS, and React (preferred);
  • Experience developing web services, preferably RESTful web services (preferred);
  • Experience with responsive design frameworks, preferably Bootstrap (preferred);
  • Experience with environmental regulatory business processes and practices (preferred);
  • Oracle certification(s) (preferred);
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other Information

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Provide maintenance, enhancement and support for a variety of the agency's business applications;
  • Assist in the preparation and documentation of program requirements and specifications;
  • Research and document requirements of program users;
  • Write, translate and code software programs and applications per specifications;
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines;
  • Work with network administrators, systems analysts and software engineers to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems.
  • Technology major or equivalent work experience.
