Interim SEC Reporting Manager
Herndon, VA (Primarily On-Site) | Contract | 2-3 Month Engagement
Cherry Bekaert is partnering with an innovative, high-growth technology organization supporting critical national security and intelligence missions to identify an Interim SEC Reporting Manager. This immediate need will support the company's external reporting function while a permanent search is underway.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on SEC reporting professional who thrives in a fast-paced public company environment and can quickly contribute to filing deadlines, technical accounting requirements, and reporting accuracy.
  • Immediate start required
  • Expected duration of 2-3 months
  • Primarily on-site in Herndon, VA with some flexibility for 1-2 days remote work once established
  • Estimated pay rate: $70-$80/hour

Responsibilities
  • Support the preparation and filing of SEC reports, including periodic filings and related disclosures
  • Manage and execute XBRL/iXBRL tagging requirements
  • Utilize Workiva and SEC filing platforms to prepare and review reporting packages
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director of External Reporting and reporting team members
  • Apply technical accounting knowledge to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations
  • Assist with reporting processes, documentation, and filing support

Qualifications
