As a Security Officer X Ray Inspection in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct screening activities, and help to support a secure environment for staff, visitors, and operations. This role calls for strong communication, attention to detail, and a customer-focused approach. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen individuals, personal belongings, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and established security-related procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations through appropriate communication channels.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and document screening results, refusals, and/or security-related concerns in required logs or reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the loading, shipping, receiving, and perimeter areas of the location, noting conditions that could impact operations or require follow-up.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
