Job description

A Snapshot of Your Day
You will be part of the manufacturing process that will result in the production of quality castings in the Gibsonton Florida location. Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines, and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
How You'll Make an Impact
  • Will work in the Core Department with X-Ray Equipment using process knowledge, basic engineering principles, previous experience, and creativity, to help develop and improve manufacturing processes that result in the production of quality castings.
  • Reading and understanding engineering procedures to ensure adherence and compliance with approved processes.
  • Participating in plant initiatives to support the reduction of scrap and overall casting costs.
  • Performing metal rework required to eliminate typical defects observed on the casting surface.
  • Completing the required manufacturing documentation in Mercury.
  • Collaborating to improve ergonomics and safety conditions of assigned areas.
What You Bring
  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • Previous related manufacturing X-Ray or quality and visual inspection experience is a plus.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
  • This position will require an export license from the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Issuance of any required license is a prerequisite for this position. The candidate must be able to work with export-controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.
