Job description

This Opportunity

WSP is seeking a CEI Inspector to join our project team in Arcadia, FL. This position will be responsible for performing assignments in assisting the Senior Inspector in the performance of their duties. Receive general supervision from the Senior Inspector who reviews work while in progress.

Your Impact

  • Responsible for receiving general supervision from Senior Inspectors or Inspectors and assisting them in the performance of their duties on roadway construction projects.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma.
  • 2 years of related experience in construction inspection, one (1) year of bridge and/or roadway construction inspection, or an Engineer Intern with a Civil Engineering degree having the ability to earn the required qualifications and certifications within one year.
  • FDOT computer access and knowledge of AASHTOWare PrC Construction and MAC
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing)
  • Experience with Microsoft office applications: MS Office, Excel and Outlook email
  • Valid Drivers License

Must have the following QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS within one (1) year to meet the CEI Inspector qualification requirements: 

  • CTQP Final Estimates Level I 
  • CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level I 
  • CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I 
  • CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I 
  • CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection (required for inspection of all drilled shafts including miscellaneous structures such as sign structures, lighting structures, and traffic signal structures) 
  • FDOT Intermediate MOT
  • Nuclear Radiation Safety
  • IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level 1
  • Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors
