Job Description 


WRS is seeking a highly skilled and licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to lead and support surveying operations across a variety of projects, primarily in an industrial setting. This role is responsible for overseeing field and office survey work, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and quality from project start to finish. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, leadership ability, and a commitment to precision and integrity.

Your Responsibilities


  • Perform and oversee boundary, topographic and construction surveys.
  • Review, sign, and seal survey documents in compliance with Washington State regulations.
  • Ensure accuracy of field data collection using GPS, total stations, and other equipment.
  • Establish control points, benchmarks, and project layouts.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to meet project requirements.
  • Review survey data, plats, and deliverables for completeness and accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal standards and requirements.
  • Identify and resolve boundary discrepancies, title issues, and field conflicts.
  • Oversee survey project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Maintain and enforce safety standards for all survey operations.
  • Support business development through client interaction and proposal input.


Your Experience & Qualifications


  • Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive land surveying experience.
  • TWIC card required. 
  • Strong knowledge of Washington State surveying laws, standards, and procedures.
  • Proficiency with GPS, robotic total stations, data collectors, and survey software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • High level of professionalism, accuracy, and attention to detail.
