Job Description

The Engineering Intern will support the engineering team with daily tasks, projects, and process improvements. This role provides hands-on experience in a manufacturing/technical environment and exposure to engineering principles, tools, and real-world applications. The intern will work closely with cross-functional teams to assist in designing, testing, and improving products and processes.

Shift: 1st shift (Hours will vary based on schedule) Monday - Friday w/ overtime as required

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Define floor space (taping) based on manufacturing analysis

  • Place and follow up purchasing orders for Production needs

  • Print, distribute, modify, & release work instructions

  • Fixture creation and request to supplier

  • Cycle time data collection and analysis

  • Assist manufacturing engineers in prototype assembly, testing, and documentation of results

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to brainstorm solutions and contribute to project meetings

  • Conduct research to support design decisions and validate engineering solutions

  • Proactively identify improvement potentials and implement optimizations ideas

Job Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field)

  • Basic understanding of engineering principles and concepts

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Physical Demands:

  • Standing and walking for extended periods in manufacturing facilities

  • Manual dexterity for handling tools and equipment
