As a Warehouse Associate, you will support the day-to-day operations of the warehouse by performing both inbound and outbound activities. Responsibilities will vary based on daily operational needs and may include receiving and putting away incoming products, picking and staging orders for outgoing deliveries, loading shipments, processing returns, assisting with inventory activities, and supporting other areas of the warehouse as needed. This position plays an important role in ensuring products are accurately received, organized, prepared, and moved through the warehouse efficiently and safely.
Warehouse Associate Responsibilities include:
  • Receive, unload, inspect, and put away inbound products following FIFO and Dock-to-Stock practices.
  • Verify incoming products and properly stock items in designated bin locations.
  • Pick, stage, organize, and prepare outgoing orders accurately for delivery.
  • Work in assigned warehouse areas based on daily operational needs and priorities.
  • Load and prepare products for outbound routes and deliveries.
  • Process returns and assist with resolving bin, part, and inventory variances.
  • Perform cycle counts, inventory-related tasks, and support annual physical inventory.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and accessible inventory throughout the warehouse.
  • Assist with general warehouse activities and cross-train in other areas to support team efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all warehouse procedures, safety guidelines, and company policies.
  • Adhere to Suburban Automotive Services' DRIVEN values and support the SAS mission and vision.
Warehouse Associate Qualifications and Skills:
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Consistent work history and strong attendance record.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous warehouse, distribution, inventory, or material-handling experience preferred.
  • Forklift, order picker/part picker, and powered pallet jack experience preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to perform different warehouse functions and work in various areas as business needs change.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately handle products and orders.
  • Must meet company background check and drug screen requirements.
Warehouse Associate Working Conditions and Physical Demands include:
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently.
  • Must be okay with walking and standing for extended periods.
