Job description

Associate Litigation Attorney


We are seeking an Associate Attorney to join our civil litigation defense practice handling personal injury, automobile negligence, and related insurance defense matters. Attorneys at all experience levels are encouraged to apply. Prior civil litigation or insurance defense experience is preferred but not required.


Responsibilities

  • Handle a caseload of personal injury, automobile negligence, and other civil litigation defense matters.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and other litigation documents.
  • Conduct and defend depositions.
  • Attend court appearances, hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.
  • Analyze case facts, medical records, damages, and liability issues.
  • Develop case strategy in collaboration with supervising attorneys.
  • Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, experts, and other parties.
  • Prepare matters for mediation, arbitration, and trial.
  • Conduct legal research and provide written analysis as needed.
  • Manage case deadlines and ensure matters are handled efficiently.


Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active California State Bar membership and in good standing.
  • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and multiple matters.
  • Interest in developing litigation skills and learning personal injury and automobile negligence defense.


Pay: $125,000 - $185,000
