About Corco Construction
Corco Construction is a growing general contractor focused on commercial, industrial, build-out, and ground-up construction projects. We are built on strong client relationships, practical problem-solving, disciplined execution, reliable subcontractor partnerships, and doing the right thing.
We are looking for a Project Manager I who is ready to grow into a strong construction project leader. This role is ideal for someone with construction experience, strong follow-through, curiosity, organization, and the drive to take ownership while continuing to learn from experienced leaders.
Position Summary
The Project Manager I will help manage and support construction projects with oversight from senior project leadership and company ownership. This role may manage smaller or less complex projects independently while supporting larger projects through coordination, documentation, subcontractor communication, cost tracking, RFIs, submittals, change orders, scheduling, site visit follow-up, pay applications, and closeout.
This is a development-oriented role, but it is not a passive role. We are looking for someone who is self-starting/proactive, detail-oriented, accountable, coachable, and comfortable working at a fast pace while still checking the details that protect project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with project coordination, documentation, communication, and follow-through.
Manage smaller or less complex projects with appropriate oversight.
Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, owners, architects, engineers, accounting, and internal team members.
Support project setup, including contract review, schedules, budgets, subcontractor lists, and project files.
Track project deadlines, open items, action items, commitments, and follow-up needs.
Assist with subcontract preparation, scope review, proposal alignment, and subcontractor coordination.
Prepare, review, and track RFIs, submittals, meeting notes, change documentation, closeout documents, and project correspondence.
Support change order tracking and ensure subcontractor changes are documented in writing.
Assist with invoice review, pay applications, cost tracking, lien waiver coordination, and monthly project reporting.
Participate in site visits, verify field conditions, document action items, and follow up with superintendents and subcontractors.
Support project closeout, including punch lists, warranties, as-builts, lien waivers, final billing, and owner deliverables.
Help maintain project schedules in Procore and coordinate with superintendents on upcoming constraints and priorities.
What Success Looks Like
You take ownership of assigned tasks and follow through consistently.
You communicate early when issues, risks, or missing information arise.
You ask thoughtful questions instead of guessing.
You keep project documentation organized and current.
You support accurate invoice review, pay applications, change tracking, closeout, and schedule updates.
You build trust with superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, clients, accounting, and internal team members.
You work with urgency while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
You learn quickly and show increasing independence over time.
