John Kamal Cars is one of the fastest-growing Buy Here Pay Here (BHPH) dealerships in Southwest Houston. With a reputation for integrity, hustle, and hands-on service, we are scaling rapidly—and we're looking for a sharp, reliable Automotive Service Writer to join our team and grow with us.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a professional and experienced Automotive Service Writer to manage incoming service calls, create repair orders, communicate effectively with customers and mechanics, and ensure timely, efficient repairs of our inventory and customer vehicles.

You’ll be the key communicator between our customers, sales/service departments, and outsourced mechanics/body shops. This is your opportunity to become part of a dealership that values precision, performance, and accountability.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer and manage all incoming service-related calls
  • Open and manage Repair Orders (ROs) in our system
  • Accurately input and manage vehicle service data and parts logs
  • Coordinate vehicle diagnosis, repairs, and parts orders
  • Communicate with mechanics, body shops, and vendors
  • Provide timely updates to customers and internal departments
  • Maintain organized records of all service activity
  • Follow up on pending parts and service completions
  • Monitor shop productivity and parts delivery status

Requirements:

  • Must have strong data entry skills and full DMS experience Experience using Auto Action, DealerSocket, Frazer, or similar systems
  • Must be able to accurately enter RO details, labor hours, part costs, etc.
  • Strong understanding of basic automotive systems and terminology
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • (English/Spanish) is strongly preferred 60% of our customer base is bilingual
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask under pressure
  • Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportationWhat We Offer:
