SR. TECHNICAL WRITER (CONTRACT)

SUMMARY

The Sr. Technical Writer needs to be experienced in authoring, managing, and maintaining clear, accurate and compliant technical documentation for EPC Renewable projects. This position ensures that complex engineering, construction, and operational information is organized into accessible content for internal teams, clients, and stakeholders. This position reports to the Director of Process Innovation (Team Lead), or another management personnel that the CEO of the Company may designate. This position is located in Houston, TX (potential for remote) and working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm or 9:00 am to 6:00 pm local time. This position is a contract role. Approximately 6 months duration.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES
 

  • Technical Document Writing
    • Author, review, edit, and maintain high quality technical documentation for EPC projects, including Policies, Procedures, and Work Instruction ensuring consistency and clarity.
    • Maintain consistency in style, terminology, formatting, and document structure across all project deliverables.
    • Support audits and compliance activities by preparing, organizing, and updating required technical documents.
  • Technical Team Coordination
    • Work directly with engineering, project, construction, quality, proposal, and procurement management teams to gather technical information and ensure complex concepts and processes are accurately documented.
    • Manage version control, coordinate multidisciplinary review, oversee updates throughout the project life cycle.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement
    • Utilize document management systems and authoring tools (MS office, Adobe, SharePoint) to track, store and publish documentation.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of documentation processes, templates, and standards within the organization.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and operational excellence across teams
  • Regular attendance, in accordance with company's attendance policy and supervisory assignment, is an essential job duty requirement for this position
  • Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned by Management

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
 

·          Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or related technical field.

·          Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in EPC or EPC Renewable projects.

·          Experience translating complex technical information into concise, and applicable documentation for production teams.

·          Advanced writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to technical accuracy and clarity.

·          Familiar with documentation standards, regulatory compliance, and multidisciplinary project coordination.

·          Strong attention to detail and organization skills

·          Ability to navigate complex, matrixed organizations and influence at levels
