Summary: The Production Assistant is responsible for assisting production supervisors and group leaders in operations. This position is responsible for various tasks and will report to the Lead in the department.ย 


Duties: Daily job functions will vary. Below are examples of work that will be performed. This is not intended to be a comprehensive list of job duties. Other job-related responsibilities will be assigned as needed.


Assist production team with various tasks

Unloading and loading materials

Inspection and quality checks on various equipment

Clean and maintain work area

Complete daily logs/paperwork.

Clean and polish stainless steel equipment

Assist with organization of materials and parts

Work with departments throughout the organization

Support production team in achieving daily targets and shipping goals

Ensure all materials are available and prepared for production

Assist with setup of production equipment

Coordinate information between departments

Load and unload materials

Move materials between departments

Requirements


Minimum of a high school education or equivalent.

Must adhere to all Simplex policies.

Ability to climb and work from a ladder.

Ability to operate various shop tools (including power and manually operated).

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Maintain all safety standards and guidelines at all times.ย 


Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the duties required to produce work in the department, typically this includes the ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds. Must be able to stand, bend or work in various positions.ย
